What can I do about expenses like heating and electricity?

- Turn off lights more regularly.
- Think about turning down the temperature of the water heater slightly.

Many energy companies offer tools online that provide you with an analysis of your past bills and energy usage, in order to help you see if you are spending too much each month compared to previous bills. Then, you can begin to make little changes, like turning off lights more regularly, not using exterior lights all night, turning down the heating temperature at night, or keeping the temperature a little higher in the summer cooling months, in order to save money on your utility bills. You may turn down the temperature on your water heater slightly to save on your monthly gas or electric bill.
